# How to Play Sudoculus
Welcome to Sudoculus! Let's explore how this unique mathematical puzzle game works.
# What is Sudoculus?
Sudoculus combines mathematical operations with puzzle-solving strategy. Your goal is to complete a game board by correctly placing numbers to satisfy both row and column calculations.
# Board Structure
The game board is elegantly simple:
- It's always square-shaped (either 2×2 or 3×3)
- Each horizontal row contains:
- Numbers connected by mathematical operations
- A final block showing the row's calculated result
- Between number rows, you'll find operation rows that define how columns interact
- Each vertical column also ends with its calculated result
# Number Patterns
While most puzzles use sequential numbers (1 through 9), you might encounter special puzzles with different number combinations. This adds variety and fresh challenges to the game.
# Game Controls
You have three intuitive ways to solve puzzles:
Placing Numbers
- Drag and Drop: Simply pull a number to any empty block
- Quick Select: Click a number, then click an empty block
- Visual Feedback: Blocks expand on desktop or vibrate on mobile when correctly targeted
Adjusting Your Solution
- Swap Numbers: Drag one placed number onto another to exchange them
- Remove Numbers: A single tap/click on any placed number removes it
Need Help?
- The Hint System: Click the hint button when stuck for a gentle nudge in the right direction
